Update on Mickey The Hedgehog

Sorry it's been a few days but Friday mummy took Mickey to the Vets for his Antibiotic injection but that morning she rang them asking if they could contact a local Hedgehog rescue to look after him as he was getting stressed with being in the cage and felt he needed expert care.So a rescue in the local city has him and he is doing very well,his snotty nose/cold has cleared up now and he is putting weight on.Mickey will be staying at the Hedgehog Rescue till the spring and they will contact us to make the arrangements for him to be released when the weather is right in the spring.Mummy phoned them today and got the good news.
Mummy has been a bit down and feeling a bit of a failure.But she is glad she made the right decision for Mickey so is not feeling so down now.So Mickey is having a holiday in the warm till the spring and we will see him then when he comes back home.

New Update on Mr Mickey The Hedgehog

So the saga continues,Mr Mickey had another trip to the vets today for another Lungworm injection.He was weighed and he has put on a little bit of weight so he is now at 742gr which is still a good weight but he did lose a little over a 100gr.He still has his snotty nose but his lungs sound clear so it look like the lungworm has cleared up.The vet gave him a good look over so Mr Mickey had the final lungworm injection and now he is on a course of antibiotics so he had an antibiotic injection today,he then gets another on Friday and another on Monday.He's not curling up because of the snotty nose and he keeps sneezing and he is still coming out in the day for a little snack and a drink so He still has some way to go before he is well again but any progress is good so a little yay is allowed.Mummy is going to set the webcam up tonight so we can see how he is doing and show you guys too.

Up date on Mr Mickey

Mr Mickey had his second trip to the vets today and had another injection for the Lungworm....Hopefully this will help with his snotty nose.Tomorrow he has another vet appointment where he will get looked over by the vet and if he still has his snotty nose he may get a course of antibiotics as well as his lungworm treatment so keep your paws and fingers crossed for him.Mummy put her foot down with daddy so Mickey has a new temporary home indoors will he is poorly.

Mummy took these before she did his food and water so he's tucked up inside the box at the moment...hopefully he won't mind his new temporary home.

Mr Mickey The Hedgehog Vet trip

Mr Mickey had his trip to the vets today for his next shot.He had his weigh in and he has lost a bit of weight ,he's lost about 80 grams or so and has developed a snotty nose The vet seems to think its the lungworm doing it so he had his shot today and has to have it for another 3 days.The poor little mite is not very well so needs a little POTP and it's possible that even though the greenhouse is insulated He may have to come inside...we will have to wait and see.Anyway here he is just about to go into his nest box....

Sunday Sunday!

Well hello there,yep its Sunday so its Sunday Selfies time but first just a little update on Mr Mickey the Hedgehog....
Well we have managed to keep him awake so far and mum has insulated most of the greenhouse but she has run out of bubble wrap so needs to get a bit more to finish the job.But what she has done should make a difference and as long as Mr Mickey comes out of his nest box to eat his dinner tonight he will start the rest of his injections tomorrow.On the worrying side the forecast is set to go colder from tonight with the possibility of some snow or wintry showers next week ,we will keep you posted on that front.....

Now time for my selfie from my outing up on the moors today and boy was it chilly!

Just one thing to add Mum also managed to get to the post office so the surprise gifts for the winners of my Christmas and Holiday Countdown are on their way!

Mummy has been a bit busy with stuff so we decided to take a little break from blogging.She's nearly done all my shopping for my countdown prizes so they will be going in the post sometime next week.We also have been busy with Mr Mickey the Hedgehog as he started coming out in the day again so he's been having trips to the vets for Lungworm treatment and is confined to the Greenhouse as he has to have another round of treatment in just over a weeks time.Mr Mickey has to stay awake now until that is finished,lucky for us it's been quite mild so he hasn't hibernated but it is due to turn colder the end of next week so he might have to come inside for a few days or mum will have to insulate the greenhouse to stop it going too cold in there....there are discussions going on for Mickey to come inside....but wild hedgehogs do smell a bit and they do get fleas and mites,which is a concern.

Now time for the final Card Count for Christmas 2018 ,I ended up with 16 Paper cards and 35 Ecards so that was a total of 51 cards

Oh and I got a Letter from Father Christmas himself!

Mummy got got 26 paper card with the one she got from Dad and 1 Ecard giving her a total of 27 card

Not a bad total for Mummy but I still win....Yay!
