Winter tips for pet owners!

Many places are still experiencing Snow and very cold weather so I was asked by the ASPCA to share this infographic with all of my Friends,it has some great tips and advice.Stay warm and safe everybody!

I will add one more tip though for those who have outdoor Bunnies remember if its too cold for you then its too cold for us,wild bunnies live underground in warrens where it is much warmer only venturing out for food then going back when they feel cold and their coats are much thicker too! Us domestic bunnies feel the cold more than our wild cousins so please bring us inside or put our hutch in an out building and insulate our Hutches and give us extra bedding and use a bottle warmer to keep our water unfrozen to protect us from the cold.

Thanks for reading this post

  1. EXCELLENT advice fur SURE Speedy.... We don't get many baffs in the winter... No matter WHAT ... we get into... That is the ONLY good thingy about winter...
We always wear our coats when it gets down to 32... THAT is FREEZING you know... and we don't stay out long EVEN WITH our coats on...

  9. Most excellent advice! Wes had a before cat that went over the bridge from sleeping under the hood, so mommy is furry purrticular. (it was a neighbor not her Daddy who started the car).
And my hairy slobbery sister Cinnamon agrees with yous with the doggie informations!
Wes has all wild bunnies around here and the weather here is the warmest EVER!!!! They is still hanging out around the bottom of the bird feeder.
Mes thinks mes finally caught upon my sleep from the weekend. Mes hopes yous has too!

  16. Really good tips - now, as soon as we move somewhere cold we'll know what to do! ;) Although B does have a coat, she hardly ever has to wear it, which I suppose is a good thing.

Does Speedy have a winter jacket?

  19. Oh Speedy boy, I am terribly late! THANK YOU for sharing this information, for our pets and sweet animals need just as much protection. Yes, our wild bunnies at least have underground shelter, but any animal left out in this infernal cold is at great risk. I see the short breed around here with their little coats....good job!

My sweet little boy, you enjoy a cuddly and cozy day with mummy!
