Today's post is about our dear friend Nylablue as she is poorly again and a message from her Mum via email
Tuesday Nylablue had another visit to see Dr Dave and had her Pepcid and Mirtazipine.
She had been eating well because of the Mirt;that is good.Diarrhoea started 1/2 hour after getting home and was rushed back to the vets yesterday where she was examined and was given subQ fluid and a Spa bath which she seems to enjoy,Nylablue's mum and the vet decided to go for broke and she was given a double shot of Covenia and a dose of Amoxicillin as Nylablue has a nasty secondary infection in her small bowel the hope is the treatment will kill the infection,But as Nylablue's Mum has said to apologise that she can't visit every ones blogs or answer comments and that they aren't being ignored but her sweet girl needs all her mums care right now.
Speedy and My self here will let you all know anything new as we hear it from her mum Sherri-Ellen, updates will be available from Mom Linda at Savannah's Paw Tracks and Bev Fozziemum.
So we need to pull together and generate the power of paw for our dear friends to help them get through this,

Nylablue had a very rough nite & i was up with her til the wee hours of the morning...it is still early days to tell if the double dose of Covenia & the Amoxicillin will work...we rolled the dice & now we must wiat & see if this gamble paid off. Yes we gambled because there is nothing left to do but try ;)

DeleteHi Rachel & Speedy: Sherri-Ellen here on Sunday evening. Just a quick update for both of you & all your faithful readers here.
DeleteNylablue is responding to the medications fairly well. She is eating all right (altho she does need her appetite stimulant). Her bowels are calm & things are moving in a much 'orderly' fashion ;) She is sleeping alot however she has been playing a bit with her toys & enjoying some catnip every nite. Cautiously optimistic. This disease will be with her for the rest of her Life. There is no cure; only treatment of symptoms when they flare up...Nylablue is am amazing kitty girl who soldiers on despite such serious illness...I thank everyone for your good wishes; prayers; emails & love you are sending Nylablue. I do believe all the Love combined with the medication is what keeps Nylablue here with us!!!! Thank you so very much. Sincerely & with love Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue too xoxoxo

DeleteWe read about our dear Nylablue's latest battle with her health and have certainly been purring and prayer for her....she's quite a strong spirited girl considering all she goes through. We also purr for her Mum who has done her best to keep Nylablue feeling as good as possible......hopefully Nylablue will pull through this latest ordeal.
