We just got back from the vet,it seems Speedy has developed a little bit of an infection the good news is because the gunk has worked its way out it shouldn't cause to much problem long term the bad news Speedy has to have Baytril twice a day for a week to clear the infection up.Speedy is not happy about the Baytril as it smells and tastes disgusting,and other than that Speedy is just fine running around like a crazy cheeky bunny that he is.
So as soon as we hear that Maddy is well enough for a party we will announce Speedy's Pirate Party!

DeleteThank goodness!!! Poor little baby. So glad the gunk got out of there. I just had Hannah on Baytril for two weeks. My vet flavors it with apple. Hannah was really good about taking it.

DeleteWhat flavor of Baytril is he getting? My vet accidently gave Fatty liver flavored a while back. LIVER! For a BUNNY!!! I made them change it out...to a bunny approved flavor.

ReplyDeleteI feel your pain though - one of my foster buns picked a fight with his brother yesterday and had a chunk of cartilage ripped out of his ear for the trouble. We are also on a course of Baytril to make sure no infection sets in and for some reason Boz thinks that the rules are that any hand that tries to put medicine in his mouth is fair game for a good chompin'!
