I saw Speedy tonight

As we were going to a wedding tonight we stopped in at the vets with some more of Speedy's favourite food and hay and treats ,the vet was about to close and they let me see him,he seemed quite bright and had been eating well but no poops yet but he will,as soon as I put the hay in the cage he started nibble on it straight away.I gave him little scratch on his good side of his head.he looks sore and is all shaved on the left side with neat stitches, even though he looks sore he isn't as he is full of pain relief.I said to the nurse to put a cat litter box with hay in it to make hum feel more at home as I know he will munch and poop and pee like normal in that as that is what he is used to .I said good night to Speedy and told him to be a good boy for mummy. He will be home tomorrow morning.

  27. I'm sorry but did they put Speedy awake in a cage with out food?? Don't they know that if rabbits don't eat their digestive tracts go stagnant..

    1. Oh know they Had lots of food but the pellet food they use is different to the one I use as is their hay,I have use theirs in the past but I find it makes a bunnies poops a bit lose and it make a bit of a mess.I also know that a mixed salad with lots of fresh herbs like basil and parsley will make a rabbit eat so I brought in his food and hay and salad and treats knowing he would munch the lot down which he did which is why he did so well ofter the op,
