A poem for Speedy by Speedy's Mum

Having been on a visit to  Zantippy Skiphop a great blog about poetry written by Zantippy for children,I was inspired to write a poem for Speedy as she has a page on her blog for us all to leave our own creations.As it came out ok I thought I would post it here for everyone to enjoy and inspire some others to take a look at Zantippy's work and prehaps write some creations too!
                
                                      Speedy The Cheeky House Rabbit!

                                          He's a cheeky one that Speedy
                                 He goes on adventures in his magic closet
                                         Bringing along his bunny chums
                                                 To all these fun places!
                                          He's a naughty one that Speedy
                                    He does his disappearing Houdini act
                                                That little escape artist
                                           Where he goes no one knows?
                                           He's a funny one that Speedy
                                               He loves playing tricks
                                                    Especially on me!
                                          He's a speedy one that Speedy
                                     He always races around everywhere
                                         He zooms here,he zooms there
                                                He zooms everywhere!

Speedy's paper ball party for Mr Mick!

To day Speedy had a paper ball party for Mr Mick's birthday! There was lots of throwing of paper balls and Speedy loved catching them and tossing them up in the air.Then running around warbling Happy Birthday to you....Happy Birthday to you...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MR MICK....Happy Birthday to you! HIP HIP HOORAY FOR MR MICK! HE'S 5 TODAY! YIPPEE! And then to top it all Speedy had a plate of all his favourite greens!

Today is Cookies and cream's birthday from Binkies and flops,so Speedy wanted to send this and wish Cookie a happy birthday.It seems there is a lot of celebrations at the moment what with the royal jubilee and of course cookie is sharing a birthday with Prince Philip who is 91 today,for those who don't know the Queens husband.So today is another party day

Update on Speedy's trip to the vets

Hi everyone I want to thank you for all your well wishes for Speedy,Speedy and I both really appreciate them.
So here's the update after we went to the Vets,It is as we thought Speedy does indeed have Glaucoma in his left eye and it is hereditary.The Vet did say that there are eye drops that can be use to help release the pressure in the eye but they don't work that well and can cause other problems,and should only be used if the eye is bothering him but as it isn't causing Speedy any discomfort that it should be left alone.After the Vet examined both of Speedy's eyes he seemed to think that speed has already lost the sight in that eye me I'm not so sure I still think he may still have some vision but that will deteriorate  over time probably the next few months.As for Speedy's right eye that is in good health and has no abnormalities in it that may change it may not but only time will tell.So Speedy is going to o.k just going to be partially sighted but that won't stop him from being the Cheeky House Rabbit that he is!

Nope it won't stop me,I'm still going to have my fun!

Speedy is going to the vets tomorrow

We noticed when we first brought speedy home that his left eye was a different shape to his right eye but since we came home that the left eye now has a little bit hazy.So we have done a little digging and it looks like that speedy has glaucoma in his eye.So tomorrow we are taking speedy to the vet to confirm that it is glaucoma and to find out if it is hereditary which is fairly coman in white rabbits or if something else is behind it.I'll update this when we find out

Speedy and the Queens Diamond Jubilee!

Today is the Queens Diamond Jubilee and Speedy wanted to pay tribute to her,Speedy said "Mum 60 years is an awfully long time isn't it?" "Yes it is Speedy" I said "why do you ask Speedy?" "Well you have put some flags up in the windows to celebrate could I have some too?" asked Speedy "Of course you can Speedy its a lovely idea we can show all you new friends with a photo too,would you like that?" and Speedy climbed on me saying "Yes Please!"So this is Speedy have His Jubilee Dinner.Congratulations to the Queen on her Diamond Jubilee!

Speedy's Speeding Day!

This afternoon I was sat on the back door step doing a little bit of knitting and keeping Speedy company,an impossible task trying to knit while you have a Rex bunny trampolining on you.There I am trying not to laugh to much and not drop any stitches at the same time or anything else for that matter when off Speedy when down to the bottom garden to his favourite marking corner.Then all of a sudden I hear super fast feet pattering up the path when I look up there's Speedy going full pelt up past me to the front garden I could hear him skidding to a halt then turn around and zoomed past me done to the bottom garden then turn and come back again skidding to a halt by my feet.He had such a wild look of mischief on his face that I was in fits of laughter but then I dropped my knitting from laughing too much! To top it all Speedy zoomed off again and binkyed up in the air!I so wished I had my camera with me.I guess Speedy has had a lovely International Binky Day!Heeheehee!
